The Sundarban Hilsa Festival 2025 is a special seasonal celebration of Bengal’s favorite fish—Ilish (Hilsa)—set in the heart of the beautiful Sundarbans. Organized by Sundarban Boat Safari, this event combines nature, culture, and delicious cuisine into a single unforgettable experience. The festival is held during the monsoon season when fresh Hilsa is at its best.

Our tour includes everything—pickup from Canning, river cruise, forest safari, cultural programs, hotel stay, and of course, mouth-watering Hilsa dishes served fresh on the boat and in the hotel. Guests will enjoy specially curated Hilsa meals like Bhapa Ilish, Ilish Pulao, and Doi Ilish prepared by expert local chefs.

Tour itenerary

প্রথম দিন (Day 1)

সোনাখালী থেকে বোট/লঞ্চে করে যাত্রা শুরু। পরিদর্শন: গোসাবা, রবীন্দ্রনাথের বিখ্যাত বেকন ব্যাংলো, হ্যামিলটন সাহেবের বাংলো, পাখির জঙ্গল, এবং পাখীরালয়।
রাত্রি যাপন: লঞ্চে অথবা হোটেলে।

Start from Sonakhali on a boat/launch cruise. Visit Gosaba, Rabindranath’s Beacon Bungalow, Hamilton Bungalow, Bird Jungle, and Bird Sanctuary.
Night Stay: On the boat or at the hotel.

দ্বিতীয় দিন (Day 2)

পাখীরালয় থেকে যাত্রা করে পরিদর্শন: সজনেখালি, সুধন্যাখালি, দোবাঁকি, পীরখালি, গাজিখালি, বনবিবি ভরানি, দেউল ভরানি, পঞ্চমুখানি।
রাত্রি যাপন: লঞ্চে অথবা হোটেলে।

Travel from Bird Sanctuary and visit Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali, Dobanki, Peer Khali, Gazikhali, Bonbibi Varani, Deul Varani, Panchmukhani.
Night Stay: On the boat or at the hotel.

তৃতীয় দিন (Day 3)

বিদ্যাধরী নদী পথে ভ্রমণ। দর্শন: বনবিবি মন্দির, লোকনাথ মন্দির, স্থানীয় বাজার ও গ্রাম।
সন্ধ্যায়: হোটেলে লোকনৃত্য পরিবেশনা।
ফেরত: সোনাখালী।

Cruise through Bidyadhari River. Visit Bonbibi Temple, Loknath Temple, and explore local market & village.
Special Evening Event: Cultural folk dance.
Return to Sonakhali.

Morning: Welcome drinks, biscuits, puri, Kashmiri dum aloo, sweets, tea.
১১টা: মাছ ভাজা, কফি।
11 AM: Fried fish, coffee.
মধ্যাহ্নভোজন: ভাত, ডাল, আলুভাজা, ইলিশ কচুর শাক, সর্ষে ইলিশ, বেগুন ইলিশ, চাটনি, পাঁপড়।
Lunch: Rice, lentils, fried potato, hilsa with kochu saag, mustard hilsa, begun hilsa, chutney, papad.
সন্ধ্যা: এগ চাউমিন, চা/কফি।
Evening: Egg chow mein, tea/coffee.
নৈশভোজন: পোলাও, খাসির মাংস, স্যালাড।
Dinner: Pulao, mutton curry, salad.

ভোরবেলা: চা/কফি, নান পুরি, কাবলি ছোলা, মিষ্টি।
Morning: Bed tea, naan puri, cholar dal, sweets, tea/coffee.
১১টা: মাছ ভাজা, চা।
11 AM: Fried fish, tea.
মধ্যাহ্নভোজন: ভাত, ডাল, ভাজা, পুঁই ইলিশ, ইলিশ ভাপা, গলদা চিংড়ি, চাটনি, পাঁপড়।
Lunch: Rice, lentils, fry, pui saag with hilsa, steamed hilsa, prawn curry, chutney, papad.
সন্ধ্যা: চিকেন পকোড়া, চা/কফি।
Evening: Chicken pakora, tea/coffee.
নৈশভোজন: ফ্রাইড রাইস, চিলি চিকেন, স্যালাড।
Dinner: Fried rice, chilli chicken, salad.

তৃতীয় দিন (Day 3)

ভোরবেলা: চা/কফি, পুরি, সবজি, ডিম সিদ্ধ।
Morning: Tea/coffee, puri, vegetables, boiled egg.
দুপুর: ডাবের জল।
Afternoon: Coconut water.
মধ্যাহ্নভোজন: ভাত, ডাল, ভাজা, সবজি, ইলিশ বিরিয়ানি, চিকেন কষা, চাটনি, পাঁপড়, স্যালাড।

Guests will need to bear personal expenses, such as coolie/porter charges, camera/video charges inside watch towers, and any additional snacks or drinks beyond the meal plan. Hard drinks, soft drinks, and bottled water are also excluded. Any medical expenses, emergency transportation, or items not mentioned in the inclusions are to be paid separately. Pickup from Kolkata or other locations outside Canning can be arranged at extra cost. Please carry your valid ID proof, as it is mandatory for forest entry.
